I always choose to stay in small cozy inns because I love how detailed they are and how the atmosphere makes you feel like home, yet somehow this hotel made me feel that exact way. The staff is incredibly kind and sweet, the effort they put on the breakfast is very much appreciated (everything was delicious, from the homemade blueberry jam, to the omelets, to the red velvet pancakes), the pool was clean and its temperature was perfect, the rooms were neat and included microwave and fridge which is also awesome and not many hotels do. Overall everything was amazing and I want to thank the staff for such an amazing service❤️ I would hands down recommend this hotel to anyone!

Bar Harbor e' una cittadina gradevole e affollata di turisti; dal suo porticiolo parte un veliero a 4 alberi che porta i turisti a visitare le isole e le coste del Parco dell'Acadia a un prezzo abbordabile. Dal porto parte un sentiero veramente piacevole che costeggia l'oceano , al tramonto e' il massimo. Da questa localita' si accede al Parco dell'Acadia che e' stupendo, sia per chi intende goderselo stando in auto, sia per chi vuole fare passeggiate di qualsiasi grado di difficolta'. Direi che il Maine si puo' identificarecon questo parco,

Città piccola ma carina, molto caratteristica, dove mangiare la "classica" aragosta del Maine al ristorante sul porto con una incantevole vista sull'oceano, e riempire la valigia con gli acquisti fatti nella numerosa quantità di outlet, primo tra tutti L.L. Bean, aperto h24, che da solo merita un passaggio per Freeport

Portland Maine è una splendida città sul mare con dei fari lungo le sue coste. È piacevole e merita una visita perché è bello camminare lungo le vie o visitare il suo porto. Bello L'osservatorio dalla cui sommità si vede la città dall'alto.

Si trova a qualche miglio a sud di Portland e insieme a Camden e' la cittadina più elegante del Maine. I Bush hanno qui una delle loro residenze. Molto curato, immerso nel verde, offre molte possibilità di fare attività all'aperto: kayak, bicicletta, lunghe passeggiate nei boschi . Il lobster (astice) e' una presenza costante nei locali del posto

Di passaggio per un viaggio on the road attraverso il new england, ho pernottato a portland una notte. Nel complesso bella zona, punto strategico per raggiungere mete ambite come le white mountain o le coste più estreme del Maine.

Cittadina molto animata, bella posizione in una insenatura tipica del Maine. Vale la pena di girare tutta la penisola e di andare in quella vicina, Pemmaquid Point. Cenato da Mc Seagull, carino perché friendly-casual e frequentato da locali. Abbiamo fatto anche l'Whale Whatch tour e visto le balene!

Abbiamo avuto un problema alla frontiera tra Canada e Stati Uniti (Maine) e siamo stati costretti a passare la notte in Canada. Abbiamo contattato il proprietario che senza neanche pensarci non ci ha addebitato nulla anche se ormai i termini per la cancellazione gratuita era scaduti. Persone così se ne trovano poche ancora in giro per il mondo..

The room was comfortable for 4 adults (two parents and 2 young-adult children). Our daughters even said that the hide-a-bed was the most comfortable that they've ever sleep in. You really can't beat the proximity to the beach. The grounds were very well kept, rooms were very clean. Small fridge, sink and microwave made breakfast and lunch easy in the room or at the beach. Need to bring disposable plates and cutlery. Bulk ice machines enable people to fill their beach coolers for the day. We didn't try the heated salt-water pool but it looked great. Bbq's available as well as a very clean laundry room. We appreciated the quiet hours after 10 pm. Definitely a lot of repeat customers, as many people were booking for the following year as they checked out. Always a good sign.
