In a quiet and scenic location at 1,200 metres above sea level, Hotel-Restaurant Siesta Balea is located in Piscul Negru on the Transfagarasan National Road. I saw Google photos prior to arriving and was a bit worried and made the wrong choice - it looked very worn out. In reality, the photos on Booking were more accurate than Google. The room was spacious, in good condition and smelt heavenly. Thermostatic heaters kept us warm at night. The restaurant was simple but good.

Hotel Posada Vidraru is set 200 metres from the Vidraru Dam on Arges River, and features a restaurant with Romanian and international cuisine. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.... We liked the beds, the location (amazing lake). The pool and sauna were very nice, not crowded at all (2-3 couples at all times), very spacious, with an amazing view (the lake, of course). The pool and sauna are included in the price of the room, while the massage is not. The pool is open from around 8 or 9 AM until 9 PM, so there is plenty of time to visit it. We stayed in a double room with twin beds. We had the usual commodities: slippers, bathrobes, clean towels replaced every day, a kettle, minibar with water and soda. The staff was nice, the food was tasty. There are many activities if you decide to stay in the hotel - pool table, darts, air hockey, playground for children. We also took a boat ride.

Everything was great, from the location to the cabin itself. Very clean and cozy, everyone was extremely friendly, and the food was very good. Will most definitely come again and recommend it to our friends!

Surrounded by the lush garden, Casa Domneasca is located in the center of Curtea de Argeș. It offers an on-site restaurant serving international dishes, an indoor swimming pool and a gym. Very nice room and overall decor. Eating dinner and breakfast on the hotel's porch was great.

Set within the Fagaras mountain range of the Carpathians, Piscul Negru Hotel is situated on the famous Transfagarasan Road. Extremely nice staff, very well prepared and polite. We booked an apartment which was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and clean.

I was in London 2 weeks ago and thought that breakfast inclus was very good. No comparison! Omelets and crepes made to order, fruit salad in cut glass bowls. Really outstanding. I also very much liked the staff. I was even allowed to practice my Romanian. Tip: Ask first before you try to chat someone up. They might be very busy,

Situated at an altitude of 1,585 metres above sea level in Arefu, close to the Transfagarasan, Romania's most dramatic paved road, Hotel Paraul Capra offers comfortable accommodation in idyllic... Very close to glacial Lake Bâlea, this is the best accommodation on Transfăgărăşan road with stunning view of the waterfall and mountains, which can also be admired from the restaurant while enjoying your meal. The food is well cooked, breakfast is good and varied. Prices are decent considering it's a remote location. The staff was friendly, serving was quick. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a relaxing time and we will certainly be back.
