The garden is stunning, and the rooms are not only clean but also pleasant. The highlight, though, is the jacuzzi in the pineapple plantation – it's truly out of the blue. Whether in the soft evening light or the natural morning sunshine, it's a delightful experience. If I lived in Portugal, I would come here every weekend without hesitation. The overall charm and warmth of this place make it a perfect retreat.

Bathroom has great water pressure and gets pretty hot (so important for me). The kitchen has the essentials. Daily breakfast usually includes eggs and we would fry them every morning. When we had an early morning excursion they brought our breakfast and left it in our fridge the night before. I loved this little spot. It’s about 20 min driving to ponte Delgada and the airport. Staff was amazing.

The Convento de São Francisco is a built in a 17th century Franciscan convent. The fact that it was an old convent added charm to the property. The was it has been re-organized with a pool and amenities is amazing… The staff were always smiling and offered great advice and support.

A former summer house, Quinta da Abelheira offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a large lawn area. It is located in Fajã de Baixo, 4 km from Ponta Delgada, in Azores. Amazing location, the hotel is very well located, the staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful. The swimming pool is great (and the bar is a bonus), the whole lot feels very homely and classy. The breakfast is INCREDIBLE. The buildings are sparkling clean, smell good and are decorated with taste. Do not hesitate, it's a great place to wander about the island.

They also have a swimming pool, an amazing garden with fruit trees… we will go back for sure!
