room service and breakfast buffet were exceptional! Got an upgrade on my original suite. The front reception to room service staff, there were very trained to make my group feel so welcomed. I had a chef who made me tosai the next day after I mentioned what I like to eat the day before at the breakfast buffet. Thanks to the breakfast supervisor, he made me and my company feel special. Thank you for your impeccable service.

Historic Melaka (or Malacca) is the capital of the Malaysian state of the same name, home to one of the country’s first sultanates. The replica of the sultan’s palace is one of the city’s top attractions.
The end of the sultanate came with the Portuguese conquest of Melaka in the 16th century. Reminders of this period include part of A Famosa fort, and there is also a fort built by the next settlers, the Dutch. Several Dutch churches also remain, including Christ Church with its pinkish façade.
Nowadays, Melaka is a melting pot of various cultures, and Chinese temples, such as wonderful Cheng Hoon Teng, sit happily alongside Hindu temples and mosques. The most spectacularly located of the latter is Masjid Selat (or Malacca Straits Mosque), on stilts above waters lapping an offshore island.
Many Melaka hotels on Booking.com are near the promenade lining the narrow city beach, and others are near more secluded beaches in the suburbs. The Melaka River splits the city into 2, and the further inland you travel along it, the more traditional the buildings become.
Just before the river’s first bend is Jonker Street, the heart of Chinatown and popular for its night markets, while a few miles to the north is Melaka Airport in the Batu Berendam district.
Good to spend at least 3 nights in Malacca. We stayed in 3 different hotels with different experiences. Recommend to enjoy local food. Most of the places are within walking distance. A gentle reminder from local, major/main roads will be closed for cars to enter during weekends in the heart of Jonker streets.

The stay in Malacca was great for travelers who love to walk and get a feel of the heritage city. Even the architecture is amazing. The river walk provides plenty of opportunities for travelers to go drink at the bars in the night, walk on Jonker street, and finally try out the river cruise. In the noon, you can take a look at the beach, The Stadthuys, and A'Famosa. Food options are definitely not limited to Asam Pedas and steamboat but also Cafe's and Bars too. Given the strategic location of my hotel, getting around Malacca was easy. Be wary that I used a private vehicle (a car) so I am unable to comment on the ease of other transportation methods such as Grab/Uber. The public transportation is unavailable unfortunately. I did not see any buses/bus stops around. Please avoid riding the rickshaws when offered due to it's overprice and loud music for a short ride around town. You could enjoy the walk rather than pay for a short and worthless ride

Melaka is accessible from south or from the north.
Melaka is accessible from south or from the north. Lively town and a lot of baked fish stalls or outlets or seafood outlet for that matter. People come to Melaka for its baked fish and nasi lemak. Or fish asam pedas ( sour n spicy ) is the special menu. Other than that of course the Tom Yam menu Thai recipe.
Breakfast in Melaka is very enjoyable _ there are roti canai with asam pedas gravy, nasi lemak, malay cakes etc.

Ever since local authorities closed the main road towards Mahkota. And also some access street road near Jonker walk during weekends. This has made some inconveniences to motorists. Lot of road diversions and spiking of car park charges. All these to me otherwise most of us inconveniently travelling around the said area. Hopefully some improvement can be done in future to come. Thank you for reading this.

Malaka is a historic port city and known for its rich cultural heritage.
Malaka is also famous for its diverse and delicious cuisine, influenced by various cultures including Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Dutch. Some popular dishes include Nasi Lemak, Satay, Chicken Rice Balls, and Nyonya Laksa.
Loved the room and the bathroom! It was spacious enough for 2 pax. The best part is the bathtub i would say. Bed was comfy as well. A nice view of the malacca city was an add on. Swimming pool was biggg however the wind was crazy! It was so cold.
The breakfast was slightly disappointing actually, the quality of the breakfast can be improved and variety of pastries should be added considering that it is a 4 star hotel. Overall, me and my partner had a great stay.
Spacious room..BIG bed..good view of town..( high floor)
Very clean..staff is accommodating..
Close to big malls.. walking distance..
Have its own multi storey carpark for guests behind hotel, has a security guard at carpark entrance...
Will return to hotel again on my next visit..
Price is reasonable..
MCdonnalds infront of hotel..easy to get food.
About 15 mins walk to HARD Rock Cafe (Melaka).& Jonker street....
Next to Hatten Hotel...
The building is gorgeous and newly renovated. It's steps away from Jonker street and is one of the beautiful Malacca heritage houses. Close to all the happening spots. Staff is lovely, breakfast was great, its served in the sister hotel Heeren Palms so we got to enjoy two properties. The house keeping fellow was impressive. He did a fabulous job.I would return happily again. Don't have enough leave this year... 😭
It was a perfect stay. Plenty of parking space, not too crowded. Well-mannered customer service. Will definitely come and stay here if we come to Malacca. Spacious room with a good view. Even though the building may look old fashioned, I can say that the interior design was acceptable. Overall, good, satisfied and worth every penny. Thumbs up, Bayview Hotel Melaka.
I had visited Malacca to work remotely and spent quite an amount of time at the guest house. The wifi connectivity was great and allowed me to work without any issues. The premises was clean, well maintained and had ample of parking space. The host, Willy was a true standout going as far as providing me a hand written list of places of interest around Malacca town.
have a great expectation during breakfast at Ames Hotel, all the staff give me very good services, thanks to staffs who guide me and my family to the seat , which is check the checklist room number, gave my daughter duit raya, 2 of staff girl. my bad i didnt ask their name, but thanks a lot ! semoga awak berdua dimurahkan rezeki. the rest are good ! 👍
Front counter staff are most helpful doing a wonderful job especially Cik Noraini. Hotel is close to coffee shops selling popular local food and nostalgic Jalan Bunga Raya. Located in a more quiet location away from heavy road traffic. Adjoining Mall is ideal for a cool walkabout on hot days.
I enjoyed the room and the service from the staff in the hotel was superb. I enjoyed my stay there, the staff was very attentive and their service was really good. The room was clean and very comfy as well. I would definitely stay here again in my next visit to Malacca.
Friendly Staffs.....the Hotel is just located near the town and walking distance to restaurants and so many attractive places. Gated parking and plenty of parking lots. Not much options for breakfast but nice food. Overall the location is good.
The room has bath tub and balcony. The swimming pool also big. Smooth check in. Free parking by tracing plate number. There is a mall below the hotel where you can find some restaurants. Located next to Malacca River. The breakfast was good.
I love the river view, also the sea view from the far.. and the ship. The location also very strategic and easy to get food. Beside hotel there have a food stalls and nice to lepak there. Just walking distance to uptown pasar bundle.
1) Very calm & peace indoor hotel environment
2) Friendly staff
3) Decent room & breakfast meal
4) Clean and nice hotel decorations for taking pictures
5) Strategic location, in the midtown of Bandar Hilir (tourist spot)
The super scenic view from the unit. The location is ideal for most travel locations within Malacca <10 mins reach>. The unit is clean, the beds are super comfortable & on par with hotel's quality <duvets>.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff name Huda, she was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Malacca.
Location is very strategic to the nearby attractions if you do not want to go the Malacca town. Quite near to Ayer Keroh toll plaza.
Room is reasonably spacious and comfortable for family of 4
There is a spa within the hotel and we used the services for two days. We find the spa packages and service lovely. By Malacca's standard, the breakfast has enough variety and was decent.
Nothing I like it 😔. I reached the hotel and they didn't confirmed my booking and they asked me to make bank to bank transfer for my booking...they was very stupid 😞
