What an incredible experience this stay was. The staff were phenomenal and the gearing around families is perfect - so many thoughtful little touches that turn a holiday into an unforgettable set of memories. The named placeholder for the kids at dinner, children's seats and cutlery, stories with milk and cookies, rabbit petting, free buckets, crabbing lines and bait, den sessions, so many more than I can mention.
A 5-minute drive from Fowey, this elegant Victorian manor house has beautiful views.

The main building is a stunning mansion with surrounding forest and garden. The interior is beautiful, relaxed and quiet.
The lodge we stayed in was large, and bright with great facilities and very clean.
The ability to book in to use the pool, sauna and hot tub facilities for free truly made our short trip. Such amazing value for money, wish we could have stayed longer! Already looking to come back and spend longer down in Cornwall.

Loved my stay. Nice staff, building buzzing with history and right in the middle of Fowey. I had a nice and spacious room and breakfast was delicious. I personally loved the noises of the pub in the background when I'm tucked up in my room for the night, reminds me of home in the city, so slept incredibly well after a long day on the coast path

Room was small but fit for purpose given we were only staying one night. Spotlessly clean with comfy clean beds. Excellent vegetarian breakfast in the morning too.

Fowey is a lovely, typical fishing village however it has the usual plethora of second homes, airbnb and rental properties. It’s not too commercial though. Lots of narrow streets and old buildings.
We visited in March and it was lovely, I suspect that in the high season it will get very crowded. A nightmare to drive through!

Classic Cornish small coastal town nestled on the steep western bank of a creek. Full of character and plenty of real local people as well as tourists. Be prepared for a steep heart stopping climb to the central car par if you miss the Town (mini) Bus which appears every 15 minutes.Highly recommend Bufala Italian restaurant/.pizzeria - don't be put off by drab road facing entrance/waiting area. Pintxo tapas bar looked interesting but could not get a seat.

A very idyllic town, by the river Fowey, especially when the sun is out and sparkling on its surface.
Excellent opportunities to walk along the coast, or to jump on to ferries and visit other towns. Some lovely beaches and coves nearby (Readymoney Cove is lovely and at walking distance from the centre) making it possible to dip into the river. Many links to Daphne du Maurier around the area - although Manderley is private (and under a different name) it’s easy to be enraptured by the atmosphere.
Buses are just a couple and not very regular, but it’s still possible to visit the area even if you don’t own a car.
I truly recommend.

A delightful place to visit.
A delightful place to visit. Wonderful swimming at Readymoney Bay.
Good long Beach for strolling at Par Bay a short drive out of Fowey.
The town of Fowey is charming, set on the River. However the steep walk from and up to the upper part of town is a kittle challenging.
Fowey offers a good selection of restaurants and shops.

Lovely location especially Readymoney beach and the shops & pubs.
Little bit challenging getting to accommodation by car, to drop our bags off, as it’s a single road one way system. So if you miss it you either have to go round again or park up and walk back.

A really compact village/town with everything centrally placed, plenty of choice of drinking or eating places.
Only downside is the carparking on the fringe of the town, you would need to catch the town taxi/bus if you have any mobility problems.
Visit Llanhydrock Place the best National Trust property I've ever entered.
Very clean, well appointed apartment. Great location on the edge of Fowey which meant you could easily walk into town and back (or get the local bus back). Also meant you could join the Southwest Coast Path just a short walk away, and also walk the 'Hall Walk' - all without using your car. Apartment is larger than it looks in the photographs with a fabulous view of fields, and sheep. Very quiet location. Two bathrooms. Easy roads to reach the surrounding areas, with lots of lovely beaches nearby.
The hotel was stunning, amazing views over Fowey (I have now realised it's pronounced Foy!) We got a room upgrade when we checked in which was a lovely surprise! The staff were very helpful and recommended Sam's restaurant down in the village, which we had already booked a table for. The facilities are excellent, we used the games room and the indoor pool, could have been slightly warmer, but minor issue, and didn't take away from our fantastic stay! Thank you!
We were pleasantly surprised by the Fowey Harbour Hotel. I don't think the photos do justice to how nice, clean, large and comfortable the bedrooms are. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom very modern. Really superb place. Bonus point for the old school elevator which is a rare experience. Breakfast was good. Fowey itself if really lovely too. Great location! I would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family.
Great location in the middle of Fowey with dining area and patio right on the water front and amazing view of river.
The room was comfortable if a little small but well laid out to make most of size. The bathroom was really nice with good shower.
Hotel is very well presented and decorated to a high standard with comfortable sofas.
Breakfast is good.
Secluded location, building with lots of history and character. Room was spacious, bathroom nice and modern. The Bramley shower gels and shampoo smelt great
lounge area was lovely, with great views of Fowey harbour.
the shop was a cute little addition, lots of interesting things to purchase
Steak pie was splendid
Fabulous view from bedroom- massive window overlooking the little Polruan ferry. Lovely spacious room with very comfortable beds and room for a good sized sofa.
This little gem of a hotel is in the heart of Fowey, definitely the best location.
The accomodation was very comfortable. Michaela and Ben are lovely and can't do enough for you. Breakfast was excellent. Good location near Fowey. Very steep walk down to the harbour but only takes 15 minutes and is fine if you take your time.
Wonderful stay. Michaela and Ben were excellent hosts. Room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Fowey is a gem. House is a good walk from the center, but we enjoyed the exercise and the quiet.
The apartment was beautiful, with full facilities for a comfortable stay. It was brilliantly located to make the most of everything Fowey has to offer. Great to have a private courtyard for sitting in the sun.
View from the room was amazing. Location of the hotel was within walking distance (5mins) into town with pubs and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decor of the hotel was superb, very classy.
A wonderful old English inn in stunning location overlooking Fowey harbor. Delicious food and great service, friendly bar where you can meet the locals and their dogs!
The hotel has been recently completely refurbished and we stayed in the new building which had been decorated to a high standard and was very aesthetically pleasing
I really like the location and woodlands walk area. The view from terrace was fantastic. The room was quite decent and reception staff were really accommodating.
Really great pub and accommodation, right in the centre of Fowey with a fantastic view of the harbour. Good breakfast and super friendly staff. Would recommend.
Perfectly located by the river Fowey, ideal for day trips in Cornwall, room specious and clean, unbelievable friendly staff - we recommend this place 100%!
