After many hectic and stressful months, from the moment I arrived I felt some inner peace settle, brought on by the warm welcome, sitting together companionably and our chats. That's not to forget the lovingly prepared and delicious breakfast. When they found out that I am vegan, they immediately made sure I got something appropriate. Even at family dinner both me and the other guest were included as if we had always been a part. When a mud slide cause the road back to Bagdogra to be blocked, their daughter and son in law actually brought me to the airport. 7 hours of driving in one direction, just so I wouldn't miss my flight! I am glad I chose Bungkhim and I hope I can visit them again and introduce them to my wife!

I loved the balcony and the view the of Kanchenjunga and the other mountains from the balcony. I loved the food everyday and all of the hosts were extremely nice. Uncle took me to his monastery one morning and offered to help me explore other parts of the area too, I really appreciated that. I loved sitting in the balcony at night and seeing the lights from other houses glisten in the distance. The homestay had a very relaxing and had a peaceful energy and I hope to visit again. As a bonus, the bathroom was very nice with amazing water pressure and a very big water heater.

From the plumbing to electrical wiring work, they’ve done it right. But that’s not even the best part. It’s the hospitality. Uncle Nima and Aunt made us feel like we visited a relatives home. You’re not gonna get service like this even on a 4 star hotel. I’ve never felt more welcomed at an inn. Uncle Nima even called our room as soon as we got back from MG Marg to check on us. When he told us to call him even from the next town we’re heading to if we needed help, you know he means it. Not to mention, aunty cooks so good. Everything she made was tasty and spot on. An unbelievable experience. I’m so glad I met them both. The next time I come, I’m staying much longer.
